Elephants are beautiful. They got a distinctive shape and their skin is covered by a complex and gorgeous pattern. No artist can improve the sensation of a living elephant. I’ve given my elephant a pattern of thorns in black and white to protect him. The pattern is inspired by the improvisations of jazz music, and the name Dexter is a reference to the legendary jazz musician Dexter Gordon.
